The Creation Process
Sadhvi Shivjyoti & the Making of a Shivoham Mala
◇
Every mala begins in stillness.
Shivjyoti is one of few Australian women to be ordained in the Dasnami order of Sanyas. For seventeen years she studied with her Guru, serving him directly and receiving his daily guidance — a rare and sacred gift. After returning from the Himalayas in 2017, she came to Melbourne to open Shivoham, bringing with her a lifetime of spiritual knowledge, intuitive wisdom and a deep reverence for the sacred materials she works with.
She is the founder, designer and creator of every Shivoham mala — and each one is born from the same place: a quiet, devoted attention to the person it is meant to serve.

How a Shivoham Mala Comes to Life
1
Sourcing the Sacred Materials
Our crystals are AAA Grade or higher, sourced by our gemologist from around the world. Our Rudraksha seeds come from a single trusted family in Nepal — three generations of harvesters who personally select each seed. Every material is chosen for its purity, energy and spiritual potency.
2
Intuitive Design
Each mala begins with an intention. Whether created for a specific individual through consultation, or channelled as a piece for the collection, Shivjyoti enters a meditative state to receive the combination of crystals, Rudraksha and sacred geometry that will serve the wearer's highest path.
3
Hand-Knotted with Devotion
Every bead is strung by hand. The 108-bead structure follows ancient Vedic tradition, and each knot between the beads is tied with care and presence. This is not assembly — it is a meditative practice in itself, and the energy of that devotion lives within every finished piece.
4
Blessed Through Ancient Ceremony
Before a mala leaves the studio, it is blessed through traditional ceremony — charged with sacred intention for its wearer's protection, transformation and spiritual awakening. This final step is what distinguishes a Shivoham mala from jewellery. It is not simply worn. It is a living, spiritual companion.
5
Finding Its Wearer
Each mala arrives with a card describing its crystals, their properties and the intention it carries. Whether you found it through the collection or it was created for you through consultation, a Shivoham mala is meant to be worn always — close to the body, close to the heart.

No two malas are the same, because no two paths are the same.
